Simple triangle cracker, folded from a 50 mm wide strip of calculator tape, pasted with PVA.
Break charge was 1/4 teaspoon of straight meal, not corned BP.
Fuse was my standard twisted tissue meal-NC.
Yeah, it went bang.
The video is a classic example of circumstances leading to a mistake in your safety precautions. It had just started to rain, so I took off my safety glasses(!) so I could see and lit the thing in my hand!
Stupid, but no harm came of it because it had a long, reliable fuse. My "argh, crappy fuses" comment was because I thought it had gone out (and the previous ground-spinner had a fuse failure from a direct hit of a rain-drop!), but I just couldn't see the burning under the sodium light.
This poor paloma has been sitting in my shoot box for over a month. I've been too chicken to try it, mainly because I don't like loud bangs, but this night I decided to finally get rid of it.
Anyway, find it entertaining, but don't be so reckless as I was.
